Modifying a field&#8217;s data type can affect how the report formats the data. Changing a field&#8217;s name causes the report to lose its reference to the field.<\/p>\n<p>Crystal Reports has a Verify Database function that checks whether the fields in a report match the fields in the current data source. This should be done whenever you suspect that the tables have been modified. Access this function by right-clicking on your report and selecting Database | Verify Database. It will display a confirmation box if the database is up to date.
